Brave, Stronger, Faster (BSF)
At ECA, our Braver, Stronger, Faster(BSF) program is focused solely on training athletes.
We define “athlete” as a person who meets any of the four of the above criteria.
If a person does not meet the ECA training criteria, then they are considered part of the “general population” and are not eligible for strength and conditioning programs, and will be referred to many of the exercise physiology services and programs available.
Why athletes and clients were selected for the BSF program:
- To train, educate and improve athletic performance through scientifically proven methods
- To improve strength, power and speed through multi joint, ground based movement patterns for strength training methodologies
- To bridge the gap from scientific research to practice
This package is designed to give athletes a comprehensive and structured plan, covering all aspects of your strength and conditioning development into a monthly plan, delivered to your phone/device.

Youth Movement (YOMO)
.At East Coast Athlete, we believe that exercise and movement are essential for youth development. Backed by current research and recommendations from leading health and fitness organizations, we know that regular physical activity plays a critical role in fostering physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing in young people.
The Youth Movement Program (YOMO) is designed for youth who meet specific entry requirements. Eligible participants must already be engaged in regular sports or physical activities, be part of a social or sports team, or participate in a structured development program.
The Reality of Youth Activity Levels
Current statistics highlight the urgent need for programs like YOMO:
- Global guidelines recommend children and adolescents engage in at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily, yet most fail to meet this benchmark.
- Data from the Australian Sports Commission’s Ausplay study shows that:
- Half of children aged 0–14 are active only once per week outside of school.
- Only 11% of children are active at least four times per week.
- Nine out of ten adolescents (12–17 years old) fail to meet the Australian Physical Activity Guidelines.
- The National Health Survey revealed that nearly 25% of children aged 5–17 years were overweight or obese in 2017–18.
What is the Youth Movement Program?
The YOMO Program is built for youth who are ready to move, grow, and excel. Designed for two age groups—12–14 years old and 15–18 years old—the program offers a strong foundation for success in ground-based and field-based sports. Our goal is to develop the future champions of tomorrow by focusing on movement and long-term athletic development.
Key Features of the YOMO Program:
Movement-Based Skills and Competencies
We focus on strength, movement, balance, and flexibility through a step-by-step approach tailored to adolescents.Progression Focused on Movement, Not Weights
Progression through the program is based on movement capabilities and control, not lifting heavy weights. External resistance (e.g., barbells, dumbbells) is only introduced after participants demonstrate full control over their own body movements.Structured 3-Phase Program
This phased approach ensures each youth athlete builds a strong foundation for lifelong fitness, athletic performance, and movement capabilities.Small Group Training Environment
Sessions are conducted in small groups (max 10 participants) to ensure quality supervision and support from Accredited Exercise Physiologists and nationally accredited strength coaches.
Why YOMO?
