Step #2
Assessment – Two Pathways:
Strength & Conditioning: (Lifting or Strength for Sport)
- Exercise Pre-Screening: – we look at your exercise history, injury status and any health issues/contraindications before starting any movement or training.
- All of our athletes first start with a Strength and Power diagnosis. This will provide us with the required information for your program design. This includes testing for maximal strength and power.
- Movement capacity and competency – we check how well you can move. This is done using a tried and tested assessment protocol often used in athlete assessments for injury risk and movement capacity.
- Sport Specific Tests.
Exercise Physiology: (Lifting or Strength for Life)
- Exercise Pre-Screening: – we look at your exercise history, injury status and any health issues/contraindications before starting any movement or training.
- All of our EP programs start with a health and fitness assessment covering all aspects of your health and fitness. We assess height, weight, BMI, body fat %, bone mass, girth measurements.
- Biometric measurements (body mass, height, body fat, girths). This is to establish your benchmarks and give us the ability to monitor your progress through regular assessments (12weeks)
- Blood pressure
- Blood test to look at cholesterol and diabetes risk factors
- We also test basic health parameters such as cardiovascular fitness, core stability strength, upper and lower body strength. That way we can understand your bodies movement and strength capacities.
